During these classes we will be teaching your dog to have “scent recognition” for red KONG. We will work on teaching your dog “how to search” and how to develop their “indication”.
We will complete linear drainpipe searches, bag searches, chair searches, vehicle searches and a search of a “novel” area.
There is the opportunity to do the UK Sniffer Dogs – Bronze Level, Scent Detection assessment. Successful completion allows you and your dog access to enter Bronze Scent Detection Trials.
**Course includes Starter Scent Detection Kit.
**Certificate of Attendance is included upon completion of the course.
Continuation classes and “On Location” scent detection sessions will be available in due course and advertised on the website and Facebook page.

Taking the time to train our dogs helps them to integrate into our family and our lifestyle.
Our dogs need guidance when it comes to living with us!
Training and guidance helps them to know what is expected of them. When they know this, they feel safe, they feel secure and they feel happy, which is what we all want for our dogs.
Work at your and your dog’s own pace with a training programme that is tailored to your needs.
Halloween Bronze Level Timed Trial

This Timed Trial is open to all Bronze Level Scent Detection Certificate Holders.
You will need to complete 4 timed searches for 8 hides of our target scent (RED KONG).
Similar to your Bronze Assessment, the search areas will comprise;
Search 1: 6 Bags x 1 Hide, 1 Minute
Search 2: 6 Chairs x 2 Hides, 2 Minutes
Search 3: Novel Area x 3 Hides, 3 Minutes
Search 4: Vehicle Search x 2 hides, 2 Minutes
However, the areas will be Halloween themed and look quite different from your bronze assessment searches. Expect a spooky twist! You might roll a bloodshot eyeball, bat an eyelid or jump in fright!
Come and have a go with your dog. See if they’ve still got it!
Canine Chaperone Service
This is for anyone that would like to include their dog(s) in their special celebrations.
Whatever the occasion, we’ll get your dog to the venue and back again.
Our dogs are so much part of our lives, why would we not want to include them?
When we look back at our photos of life’s momentous events, it only feels right that our dog shared those experiences with us.
We can walk your dog after their guest appearance, feed and settle them back home.
Prices start from £20.00 per hour, plus fuel expenses.

On this course we will cover the basic training commands that you and your dog will need e.g.
“sit”, “down”, “settle”, “loose lead walking”, “wait/stay”, “recall”, “leave”, “play”, “inspection”, “food bowl manners” and “place/go to bed”.
The emphasis is geared towards giving you the skills to train your dog to fit in with your lifestyle and to also keep them safe.
*There is no class on Easter Saturday.
