During these classes we will be teaching your dog to have “scent recognition” for red KONG. We will work on teaching your dog “how to search” and how to develop their “indication”.
We will complete linear drainpipe searches, bag searches, chair searches, vehicle searches and a search of a “novel” area.
There is the opportunity to do the UK Sniffer Dogs – Bronze Level, Scent Detection assessment. Successful completion allows you and your dog access to enter Bronze Scent Detection Trials.
**Course includes Starter Scent Detection Kit.
**Certificate of Attendance is included upon completion of the course.
Continuation classes and “On Location” scent detection sessions will be available in due course and advertised on the website and Facebook page.

6 Week Scent Detection Course – Bronze

In this course we will be increasing your dog’s scent knowledge with the introduction of two new odours, gun oil and catnip.
The first half of the course will involve similar exercises to those that you did in the bronze course. Our target odour for weeks 1 – 3 will be gun oil.
Weeks 4 – 5 of the course will involve sending your dog out on an off-lead search and them retrieving an object containing catnip and returning it to your hand.
Week 6 will include the assessment of everything we have learnt. Successful completion of the UK Sniffer Dogs Silver Level Certificate of Attendance allows you and your dog access to enter UK Sniffer Dog Silver Scent Detection Trials.
*Course includes Silver Scent Detection Kit.
*Certificate of Attendance is included is included upon completion of the course.

The emphasis is geared towards giving you the skills to train your dog to fit in with your lifestyle and to also keep them safe.
NB: There will be no classes Saturday 4 April, the Easter Weekend and Saturday 2 May, the Bank Holiday Weekend.

Canine Chaperone Service
This is for anyone that would like to include their dog(s) in their special celebrations.
Whatever the occasion, we’ll get your dog to the venue and back again.
Our dogs are so much part of our lives, why would we not want to include them?
When we look back at our photos of life’s momentous events, it only feels right that our dog shared those experiences with us.
We can walk your dog after their guest appearance, feed and settle them back home.
Prices start from £20.00 per hour, plus fuel expenses.
